Observing my student during the first meeting is important for me to know him/her better. Then I make choices of lessons best fit for him/her. I do not follow a particular syllabus because I know each student is different in many ways. I prepare lessons suited to my student's learning language level. I make sure that my student feels confident when I teach him/her. As much as possible, I want my student to relax when studying with me just like when he/she is talking to a friend. I am a very patient and focused teacher and also a perfectionist . I do correct the grammar and pronunciation positively. I enjoy all my sessions with every student. I feel fulfilled when my students learn from what I teach them.
Materials :
For beginner, audio visual aids are a must. For intermediate, more attention to grammar, pronunciation and spelling by using different materials that fit the student best. For advanced, comprehensive reading and listening skills are required and also debate on current issues are important.

I only teach ONLINE, through Skype (voice chat only, not video chat) and email correspondenc e. I'm always online at Skype, I supervise a Korean online English company on weekdays.

Studying online has many advantages. Firstly, time is used effectively, no need to travel and no waste of time. Secondly, both teacher and student feel comfortable holding classes in the privacy of their respective homes. Schedule is not just limited to regular hours. Teachers schedule can be flexible, it can be as early as 6am or as late as 11pm, depending on the available slots. Finally (for my Tagalog students), materials are sent through email.
It is a wise option to study online. If you have a computer and dsl connection at home, you might as well try it.

1) DO YOU TEACH LIVE IN PERSON?
NO, I only teach online. If a student contacts me and is interested with a LIVE IN PERSON teacher/tutor , I have no choice but to decline the inquiry. I could only reply to students seeking online teacher/tutor .
2) WHAT IS YOUR TEACHING SCHEDULE?
All WEEKDAYS (PHT - Manila time).
3) HOW LONG DO YOU EXPECT YOUR STUDENT TO STUDY?
It depends on the student but I prefer to teach for a duration of six months to a year or more.
4) WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM STUDENT'S EMAIL/INQUIRY ?
a)For the students, please indicate your preferred schedule when you send an email.
b)I wish student will contact teacher one at a time.
c)I hope before a student contacts a chosen teacher, he/she makes sure that he/she is serious and interested. If a chosen teacher does not reply to an inquiry then the learner contacts another teacher.
d)I suggest student indicate a conditional clause in the inquiry: "If you will not reply back after [WRITE NUMBER OF DAYS], I will contact another teacher."
Sad to say, sometimes, a student contacts a teacher but when the teacher replies back, the teacher never receives an email from the learner again. Actually, a short email of regret will be appreciated if the student already found another teacher.
5) DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER CONCERNS?
Filipino teachers are very competent. Many teachers leave the country to work abroad for greener pastures because most of us work mainly for our families not only for ourselves. We are service-orien ted people on this side of earth and we stand firm in our commitment with integrity and pride. No Filipino should feel inferior in his own country. Filipinos are and will always be FIRST CLASS citizens in our motherland.
