I would love to learn Polish because I have relatives in Poland and I want to be able to communicate with them in their native language.
I am an absolute beginner; I only know about five words, and have no knowledge of grammar structure.
I would love to spend several hours a week (12-20) on language lessons and practicing conversations , although not all of those hours need to be spent with a teacher (for example, the teacher assigns homework or grammar and vocabulary to practice and memorize).
I am looking for a teacher that is patient and willing to tolerate a LOT of mistakes (which I will surely make), but is also willing to correct my mistakes the minute I make them. I would love lessons that focus on basic communication vocabulary/gr ammar.

I am 3rd generation polish american and wish to learn my ancestor's native language. I know some phrases, mostly from audio tapes, but my pronunciation is poor, and english to polish is tricky.
I will take whatever I can get for lessons as long as I can HEAR the phrases until I am conversing both written and oraly competently

My husband is Polish, so we have many friends who are also Polish and move into conversations in Polish. I feel offended by this and would rather learn to speak it than feel left out.
I know alot of words and some sentences, but I could not hold a conversation.
I would 'forever' be practicing what I learn with my husband and step son.
I desire not to have perfect grammar, as I understand the language is quite difficult in that respect. Rather I just want to hold a conversation and everybody understand me and I them. I would like my teacher to be persistant, yet patient.
