Hello,
I am a beginning German student trying to learn as much as possible, especially in grammar and conversation, before I go to Germany at the end of August 2006 to be an au pair there for a year. I would like to have classes up to times a week for about 3-5 hours, plus my own individual study time. I would like an open-minded teacher very passionate about the German language and knowledeable about German-speaki ng countries. The teacher must be somewhat organized, but not overly grammar regulated, as my main purpose at the moment is to get myself listening and speaking more than worrying about every error.
I am a very quick learner and have foreign language learning experience. I have a degree in Anthropology and Spanish Literature and Linguistics. I like to have fun and would like a fun teacher as well. I am sure it will be enjoyable for the both of us!

I know some.I have studied german for a long time on my own.I can't have a conversation in german,I am not building on to what I know.So I am looking to find a way to learn german so I can have a conversation in german.I want to learn german for my self and I had grandparents that talked the language.I need improvement in grammer and conversation. I am doing this on behalf of my twin sons, Charlie and Ian who are 13 (7th grade) and interested in learning German. They currently are studying Latin and their school does not offer German. Their grandmother is a German immigrant and they have many relatives that still live in Germany so they are very interested in learning the language so they can ultimately visit Germany.

I am in an intermediate german class at Ithaca College. I lived in Germany for six weeks last summer and have a chance to go back after i graduate. I would like to improve on my grammar and conversation in order to get ready for the advanced german class i will be taking next semester.
