I have family in the Netherlands, and have begun bi-yearly trips back to visit them. My father is a dutch-expat.. . he imigrated to Canada when he was 13... and has helped me get to the level I am now.
Mijn nederlands is niet slecht, maar ook niet geweldig. I have grammar issues, and cannot follow normal pace conversations well.
I can make a few hours per week available to this end.
Other than patience, I'm not particular. I would expect full immersion in my time spent, but can be very accomodating otherwise.

I am interested in learning Dutch for personal reasons (I met a Belgian woman and learning her native tongue is integral to our relationship) . From January 2016 to July 2016 I was living in Belgium and didn't take advantage of my opportunities to learn while I was there. I have learned a bit online on the Duolingo website but know I am better suited to in person lessons. As a certified english teacher I understand the amount of effort required to properly learn another language.
I am now back in Canada and looking for a teacher (either 1 on 1 or in a group) to learn the language with on a regular basis. Although I have learned some of the basics I would still consider myself a beginner. Conversation is my main interest although I am willing to learn whatever the teacher feels is appropriate. I am a kinesthetic/t actile learner. I want a teacher that is patient but also stern when necessary.
Currently I am not very busy as I am going back to school in the fall (early September) but wish to continue to learn the language once it starts. From now until then I have the time to learn at an accelerated rate (5-8/wk) hrs, but will have to slow down once school starts (2-5/wk)

We moved with our kids to Toronto 2.5 yrs ago and are looking for a teacher for our kids,a 6 yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy. Possibly also for the mother, who has a basic level of Dutch.. Father is a native speaker. Girl has basic understanding and vocabularly.
Teacher must be comfortable and experienced with kids.
