I'm due to travel to Mauritius in July and would like to be able to speak at least rudimentary French in order to get around, order meals and the like.
I am a beginner in French, though I have acquired a few French phrases over the years. I have postgraduate qualification s in linguistics, so understand language structures and patterning.
I'd like to spend one to two hours a week with a language teacher in private lessons with the opportunity to practice what I learn either through online chats, skype, text messaging or phone calls.
I'm looking for a teacher who is responsive to my needs and learning styles, who will appreciate that homework is not going to be a priority for me (I have a busy life and a family) and who is prepared to work at my pace (quickly when I've grasped a concept, and more slowly when I need reinforcement ). I'm looking for a teacher who is able and willing to communicate why things need to be done a certain way and who has a repertoire of teaching strategies that they can employ (I'm a highly visual-spatia l learner).

I am looking to improve my French language skills in order to be hired by the Foreign Services/Fore ign Affairs of Canada. I have taken a year and a half of University French resulting in good marks. I could not continue taking French due to my double major and am hoping to use this as an opportunity to build on my established knowledge. I also am hoping that this will serve as a stepping stone to learn more languages in the future as this is a growing valuable resource. I would like to have lessons ranging from 4-8 hours a week. I am looking for a teacher that is patient and pushes me to use the language in casual conversation.

Hello,
My son Alex is going into grade 10 at Old Scona, although he has been taking French since grade 4 and has a GPA of 95% he feels he knows little to nothing of the language. He is afraid that Vernon Barfords french program is far too easy and he will be completely unprepared for French at Old Scona. We are looking to enhance what he already knows and he would like to work on pronunciation , grammer, ect. Basically what they are expecting is low grade school level immersion knowledge and he does not feel he is at that level. We are looking for weekly lessons about an hour long and a small amount of homework to keep him busy in between lessons. Summer session would be great, in between any holidays he is taking.

I have just relocated to Sousse and urgently need to find a French language tutor. I have had 16hrs of Beginner lessons but need to learn the language very fast and improve my confidence levels. I am mainly concerned with spoken French.
I have just started a new job so lessons would need to be in the evenings - preferably after 7pm.
I do not have internet at home and so lessons would need to be in person and not by skype!

My level I am good in English I am Safety Engineer but I am 0 in French.
