Hi,
I am hoping to learn Romanian properly over the next year or so. I have a lot of friends in Bucuresti I have made through business and I have visited now about 9 times over a 2 year period. Unfortunately my trips normally last 3 days but recently I have been extending them to 6 or 7 days.
Hope fully by the end of the year a business partner and I will buy somewhere in Bucuresti. We really like Romania. At present I only know what my friends have taught me and I speak to them on msn in romanian sometimes.
I find that the language itself isn't inaccessable to me. There are obvious similarities to English with some vocab and verb stems and having also learned basic french and some Spanish I can identify with some of it. I would like some lessons which include the 4 main areas but in particular I would like strong emphasis on grammar early because I find that if I can understand the logic behind something, I will learn it quicker. I am familiar with the pronounciatio n of special characters already.
A re you available for mixed methods of teaching. Some would be in Bucuresti and others in between could be done over the internet.

Hello. I am currently looking for a one-on-one teacher who is able to help me start & progess quickly in Romanian. My wife is Romanian and, while I learn some words and phrases on a daily basis with her(plus what I learnt while working in Romania)I feel I am not making fast enough ground and need more structure to my study. I am interested mainly in conversation but feel it would help to understand the grammatical side also. We are planning a visit for new year and I'd very much like to be able to have a few more conversations this time!
