I would like to learn the Russian language because I will take a trip to Russia next year and visit two families I know as friends.
I am a beginner and never had any previous instruction. Currently I am studying the russian alphabet and pronunciation info. from online sites. My interest is grammar, conversations ,reading and writing the language (at least 1-2 hours per week).
The qualities I am looking for in an instructor is patience, dedication, and sensibility.

I visited Ukraine (Russian speaking Crimea) this summer, on a mission trip to work with orphans. I want to return next year, and would like to be at least conversationa l in Russian before I return. I am a beginnner, I know only a couple of phrases.

I am interested in learning Russian for several reasons, I have three children and I would like for them to learn a second language and be fluent in that language when they are older, my husband and I wish to use the language as a family language that will be used in our home everyday. We are beginners, but we are eager and fast learners, I have purchased a few Self teaching books, and have been reading about the Cyrillic alphabet, pronunciation s and ect.
We wish to spend as much time learning Russian as humanly possible, My husband works a great deal and is unable to spend as much time as I can , I’m a stay at home mother and all three of my children attend school during the day, which leaves me lots of time to study and practice.
The type of teacher I’m looking for is someone who is either a native speaker, or has lived in Russia for a few years. I feel that the only way for you to be truly fluent in a language is to have lived and used that language in it’s native country. When my husband retires we wish to move aboard and we desire to know the language, as best as one can without ever having lived in the country itself.
