I am looking for anyone in the Dallas area who is willing to give one or two evening lessons every week starting in January 2005 or thereafter. I am a 24 year old mixed-race Korean American who is hoping to communicate more comfortably and proficiently in the native language of my family members. I would like to find an instructor who will focus on conversation (speaking only or mostly Korean during classes). I also need to increase my vocabulary and understanding of Korean grammar. I am already proficient in Hangul, and I know the basics of Korean grammar (including simple present, simple past, and present participle). I am willing to dedicate up to five hours per week to class instruction. Depending on availability of the instructor, I am willing to pay around $150 per 'semester' (typically 4 months of instruction). This is flexible, however. I am, of course, willing to pay more for dedicated, high-quality instruction.

The reason for learning is that my girlfriend is from South Korea and I would like to be able to talk in her native language and communicate with her friends and family.
I would ideally like to spend a couple of hours one evening per week, work and cost permitting.
