My family originally came from Germany, immigrating to Australia in the 1850's. I want to learn German to regain some of my family's heritage.
I'm currently at a Beginner level, and know basic conversation, counting to 1 million and der/das/die articles etc.
I'm interested in devoting a few hours a week, most likely the weekend to learning. I wish to move to a more advanced level and become fully fluent in the language.
I'm looking for someone who is flexible and patient, and will teach me the nuances of pronunciation and accent.

I absolutely do not have any proficiency in both Japanese and German. I wish to learn both languages for the purpose of easy communication and understanding . I can put in an hour of lesson as a beginner. This application is for my 5 year old sun. I am native german and did not raise him bilingual. It is never too late. I would like to set my son up for private tutoring to get him started and eventually get him enrolled in a classroom setting. I am looking for weekly lessons, preferably wednesday afternoon. The lesson needs to be playful and integrate him in the learning process. Activities, like music, dance, naturewalks and crafts are a good working approach for my son. I will support the language by speaking german to him as often as I can and he will visit his german relatives in germany every summer.
