I have always wanted to be able to understand and converse in French, I like the language very much and do enjoy much of French classical songs. More over, I am now also in need to acquire basic working knowledge in French for career reasons.
I n the past, I have tried to self-educate my self, but for all practical reasons, I am a beginner. I am very much interested in developing oral and listening skills.
I am hoping to be able to reach my goal of working knowledge in French by the end of this year (e.g. carry out meaningful conversations , able to read and understand basic sentences, etc.) I should be able to dedicate up to four hours weekly for my language lessons, keeping in mind that I usually work from 8 am till 6 pm. So most of the lessons would be held either in the weekends or after 7 pm.
I am looking for a teacher that is able to tailor the lessons to my needs and personality and able to follow up on my progress and enforce areas which the teacher may see as weak.

I think it is important to learn different languages as it would be a great asset for my career and traveling. I also want to learn French and Chinese as they are part of my heritage.
I would like to improve on all areas of the language but conversation would be the most essential. I have had previous education in Mandarin and French.
As for time, I think 1-3 hours a week would work.
I would like a teacher that offers private lessons.

I am interested in learning french because I would like to live and work in Canada in the very near future and this is a major requirement. I do not know any french what so ever so you can say that I am a blank canvas. I would like to be taught by Emeline Pruvot as she is located closes to me, my only concern is that it appears as though she will not be available often enough. I am prepared to dedicate as much time as possible because I need to learn the language quickly and properly. I would like a teacher who is 100 percent interested in my quick success, yet patient and understanding .

Hello. I studied French in secondary school (35 years ago), obtaining Honours in the Leaving Cert. I would now like to refresh my knowledge of the language, particularly conversationa l French, which is extremely rusty. I would like to be able to travel to France and be confident of holding simple, everyday conversations in the language. Ideally, depending on tuition cost,I would like to have two intensive day-time sessions per week for 2-3 months. I live in Drumcondra but would prefer for the lessons to take place away from my home. I have no particular requirement for the teacher - except that he/she has patience! Thank you.

I am learning this language because i have an interest in it, and hopefully use it as career advancement as well if possible. I am not proficient in french at all but am willing to learn. I need help and improvement in all areas of the french language. I can dedicate 1 to 2 hours a week, perhaps even more depending on schedule. Am willing to work with any teacher.
