I am wanting to become proficient in Spanish for both career advancement and also since half my family is hispanic. I am good with spanish grammer but when it comes to conversation its very difficult for me. I have taken spanish for 4 years in high school and have stayed in mexico for a month but that has been over five years ago and have not kept up with the language since. Im looking for about 1hr30min to 3hrs a week worth of lessons with a native speaker who is a enthusiastic about what they do.

Hello I am trying to learn Russian language. I have been studying on my own and can speak a little of the russian language. I have many books and dictionaries to assist me in learning.
Qualities I look for in a teacher are patients, teaching techniques, and flexiblity. I would like to practice conversationa l using the Russian language. I can make some basic sentences from learning on my own. I need to practice this to get some positive reinforcement that I am doing it correctly. Repition is the mother of all learning!!! as they say in Russian.
I would later like to progress into learning to read and maybe write.
I do not want a teacher who is going to just give me a russian book or a paragraph in Russian and expect me to translate myself. I can do this myself.
I want to add that if a teacher is going to use SKYPE, there will be some difficulty with using this program from my experience. Especially transmissions of SKYPE from Europe. I have found that SKYPE program drops the call often and interfers with lessons when transmitting from Europe. If you use SKYPE in America it is a better connection and it does not drop the transmission too much.

I am originally from Mogilev, Belarus. I came as a baby at 2 years old, and I was raised speaking the Russian language. My Russian skills have decreased tremendously over the years and I would really like to perfect my grammer and enhance my vocabulary... so I can talk to family and friends correctly. My Russian at the moment is 'intermediate ' I would say. I know most of my words and how to use them. I need particular improvement in my grammer. I would dedicate about 4-6 hours a week if need be. Qualities in my tutor would just have to be informative and patient.

I would like to improve my Russian language skills in order to be a more competitive applicant for a PhD program in Political Science. I studied Russian for two years at the undergraduate level, including a semester abroad in Moscow. Since then, I have not spent much time with the language, and would like to regain and improve upon the skills I already have. I am looking to spend as much time as possible (physically and financially) on bringing my Russian from a beginner level to an advanced level.
