I am a beginner of the Russian language. I have been collecting resources that I needed for my study of the Russian language. I am just starting to study the Russian. However, I feel that it is extremely important to start with a proper foundation of the Russian language. I feel that it is very important for me to to know the proper pronounciatio n and sounds of the Russian language first before I can go on to read publications/ books in Russian.
I am learning the Russian language because I love the language, and I met with some of Russian people. I really wanted to talk to them, but I got really frustrated by the language barrier. I really desire to overcome this barrier so much. Another reason to be fluent is that I need to learn the Russian language for my career/busine ss. It involves engineering/s cientific work as well as audiology & speech.
My goal is to be very fluent in the Russian language where I can communicate on a conversationa l and scientific/bu siness level. I am willing to study the language everyday, at least 1 to 2 hours daily to achieve high fluency of the Russian language. I realize that it would take long time to achieve that, but I am willing to do anything I can to reach that level of a native speaker.
I am looking for a Russian teacher that I can learn the pronounciatio n/sound system and then work up to the conversationa l level where I can talk about anything from current events to history. Once the conversationa l level is achieved, I can go on to the scientific/en gineering/busi ness area of the language. I am looking for a teacher who is a native Russian speaker with a lot of experiences in teaching Russian to English-speak ing students like me.

I am a beginner. I am using CD's and have picked up a lot but feel I could learn faster if I were able to take a structured class.
I need to learn Russian as my girlfriend/wi fe to be of a year and a half is Ukrainian, her english is excellent however no one in her family speaks english so I want to learn russian so I can communicate with them.
I will devote as much time to learning Russian as necessary.
I want my instructor to be an expericnced teacher.

I have never tried to speak it before, and can not wait to learn. I feel it could advance me in the business world, and I have always found it a beautiful language. I would like to spend 2-3 days a week on learning it, but practicing on my own through out the week. I am looking for someone understanding , and patient.
