I have been studying Japanese for several years and think that I am about Level 4 (although I haven't taken the JLPT).
I want to learn Japanese because I was born there but never learned the language. It's always been my dream. I want to speak enough Japanese to easily get by in Tokyo, which I visit at least once a year. I'd also like to practice what I already know. Basically, I need someone to talk to.
I'd like to learn conversation in particular. Therefore, my listening skills and vocabulary need to be improved. Don't worry about having a challenging class- I am a diligent student!
I can devote 2-3 hours a week to my language lessons with a teacher.
I am looking for a confident teacher who is fluent in Japanese, of course. I want the kind of Japanese that the natives speak. I want someone who is flexible but has an organized lesson plan. In other words, I don't want a lesson where anything goes. I have several Japanese books that we could use if you don't have materials of your own. Having a stable dsl connection to do Skype video chat with is also highly favored, if not necessary, due to my irregular schedule.

I am currently self-studying japanese on my own. I've tried to learn japanese by using few japanese phrase books and internet. I am a beginner but i really hope that i can speak japanese or atleast understand the japanese's conversation.
I have always loved language since before. My most favourite language is Japanese. Korean come second. I've tried hard to read & write in Korean and it works but not for japanese. Im confused with the grammar and its hard to learn it by myself. Thats why I want to learn this language.
As i've stated before, im a beginner. I only knew very FEW japanese words. I get confused at grammar. I can only catch few words in japanese's conversation.
I target to learn japanese atleast once a week. In other word, because i really want to be good in this language, i want to fix some time for my lesson.
An y teacher would do. As long as i can learn japanese its great enough. But of course i need someone that's flexible and friendly. I got scared easily. I want a fun way of learning japanese but still SERIOUS.
