I am leading a Habitat for Humanity Global Village (HFH GV) team to Gliwice, Poland this summer (2010)
I strongly believe in the HFH Global Village program. Not only does this program help build houses for people in need in the U.S. and around the world, it facilitates a sharing and understanding of cultures between people of different backgrounds.
I am interested in taking a few Polish lessons to be able to at least say hello, goodbye, please, and thank you while I am in Poland to be able to show respect to the people in Poland hosting our team and to show respect to the future homeowners we will be working with while we are in Gliwice. I live in Baltimore, MD but travel to DC on occasion.

I want to learn Polish because I am 100% Polish and I know swear words and a few phrases, but that is about it. I guess I would be a beginner. I do work so my time is somewhat limited. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher is a lot of patience.
