I am a beginner. I would like to learn Russian, because I want to learn a second language and I'm not interested in Spanish or French. I need to start. I haven't taken any Russian courses, though I've used a CD-Rom to learn a few words and phrases and I can read some cyrillic. I can dedicate my whole summer to learning Russian, I'm a teacher and I only work part time from July through the end of August. After that I could do after school or weekends. I want to learn to speak enough Russian to have a conversation. I would like to travel to Russia someday and be able to communicate in Russian.
