I am a physician. Increasingly I am drawing upon a Polish-Americ an patient population. To better help these good people, I would like to learn to speak Polish.
I know a few words of Polish (taught to me by my patients), but I am uncertain of my pronunciation and grammar. I would like to speak polite and correct Polish. I am very much a beginner.
Because of limits on my time, I think that I would need to have private lessons. During part of the year, usually over the winter months, my work requires that I travel throughout New England. During those months I could not attend frequent lessons, but, during the remainder of the year, I could meet with someone perhaps twice a week. I would appreciate advice on how best to go forward. Should I have small group lessons, frequent private lessons, private lessons mixed with internet or group learning?
I am not a young man and perhaps I do not have the quick and retentive mind that I had as a youth. My progress may be slow. However, once I begin this study, I expect that I will continue for for the long term - probably for years - to gain proficiency.

I work for a business language training school and we are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Polish teacher to put forward as part of a tender for a course with the MoD. We need a teacher to commit to at least 2 mornings a week for 3 hours starting from next week (Mar 8th). The course will be divided into two sections 8 Mar – 20 Apr, 5 Jul – 3 Sep and will be held at the MoD training centre in Beaconsfield. We would pay your travel costs as well as offer you a competative hourly rate.
