I am a beginner, I have learned the cyrillic alphabet so far and thats it. I am learning russian because I recently visited Latvia and absolutely loved it. I met a lot of people I wanted to speak with but the language barrier was a problem. I plan on returning to Latvia annually for Ligo each summer, and want to be able to speak with my new friends.
I am looking for a bit of patience from a teacher, I may have trouble with pronunciation because I did not grow up creating or listening for the cyrillic sounds. I am 19, and eager to learn, and will dedicate what time is necessary to learn the language.

I have recently returned to the United States after living for a year in Kazakhstan. While there I lived with a host family and learned to speak Russian at an intermediate level. I hope to continue learning this language for use in the international field later in my life. I also wish to progress in this language so as to maintain contact with my friends in Kazakhstan.
I wish to dedicate a few hours a week to studying this language with a tutor as well as a few hours of individual study on my own. I am looking for a dedicated and innovative language instructor who is willing to converse in the Russian language, guiding me to new vocabulary and accuracy in grammar, pronunciation , and writing along the way.

I would say I am intermediate at Russian. I left Russia when I was 6, so I forgot most of it. I can not read or write. I can speak moderately. I am looking to learn to speak better, read and write.
I would dedicate about an hour, once or twice a week, as I also have college, and a part time job.
