Hi. I am Priya Kumar from United States.I work for a government agency and require a working proficiency in foreign langauage for advancement in my career. i am interested in acquiring a working proficiency level in nepali language. My focus is mainly on speaking and reading.I can dedicate upto 3 hours a day on daily basis for about 12 months. I want a teacher who can help me achieve my target. I have to appear for a proficiency test at the end of the year and achieve a proficiency certification . My test will basically comprise of speaking ( on current events, agreeing/disa greeing to issues) and some reading test. This is important!

I'm a beginner with Nepali, though I have been taking lessons this Summer in Kathmandu. I'm presently working for an INGO in Nepal and will be returning to DC this August to continue graduate school. I'm hoping to return to Nepal in Spring of 2010 to continue fieldwork and I'd like to be able to carry on basic conversations .
I'm looking for a focus in conversation, but grammar and script would be helpful as well. I'd prefer to meet in person a couple times a week.

My proficiency level is beginner. I am learning the language to be able to speak with my mother-in-law . I need help in creating sentences. Once a week would be great for a lesson. I want a native speaking teacher and educated in the language not just because they speak the language. I am a teacher and a firm believer in speaking properly. I do not want to learn slang. I will pick that up from listening to the people.

I am a beginner. I have only recently started to learn Nepali through watching some youtube instructional videos. I will be moving to Nepal soon to help at a school.
I think I'd be willing to Skype for an hour every other day.
I want an instructor who will challenge me. Someone who won't be harsh when I make a mistake but someone who is willing to correct me when I'm wrong.
