I'm an executive based in Taiwan with my husband, but traveling alot. I'm lookign for twice a week lessons that go face-to-face when my husband and I are in taiwan, and over voice/skype/v ideo when we are traveling with some understanding for timezone impact to change of schedule during our traveling weeks (to Europe and US).
We are looking for classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings for about 1 hour each time. These could even be at a restaurant and we can treat the teacher to dinner as well.
Primarily we are interested in conversation mandarin, we would love to be able to understand basics of business conversation better, especially things that are said in chinese in front of us during a meeting rather than in English, even thought the meeting is being held in English.
We are beginners, but have been spending most of our time in Taiwan over the past few years, but focused very much on building our business rather than learning good chinese. We can do adequate taxi chinese (directing taxi driver to a destination), but that is right now our best chinese conversationa l ability.
