I worked in Tokoyo before, I was 28 years old and very unprepared. My ladies however were kind and taught me many words and shared fruits and drinks with me. My level is still very little. You should know I am difficult to teach becuase I learn slow. Please dont get frustrated it will eventually sink in. I like to one day return to Japan for work. I prefer a woman to teach me but will respond to all who contact me. I like to read and learn in romanji but I guess it is time to learn little bit, hiragana?

Why you are learning your foreign language (e.g., career advancement, etc.). For the last few years, I have been wanting to work/travel in Japan. I understand that people who are able to speak Japanese and fluent English have a better chance of getting jobs than those who are only proficient in one language.
Your proficiency level (e.g., beginner, etc.). I have completed a beginners course in Japanese speaking at TAFE.
The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any. I want to start learning conversationa l Japanese, and as I get more proficient at the language, start learning Kanji/Hirigan a and Kitagana.
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. I want to aim to have a basic understanding to the language within 6 months.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher. - Patience!

It has always been my goal to move to Japan to continue my teaching and performance career. I finished my B.Mus a few years ago and during that time I attempted to take courses in Japanese. Unfortunately , I couldn't make all the classes in the second semester, as they were in conflict with my music classes. That being said, I do have some beginner experience with the language but I am very much a beginner. I'm looking for a teacher who will help me develop my conversationa l abilities (as I had very little experience with that in a large classroom setting) as well as reading and writing. As for the time I'm willing to dedicate to my studies; I am a private teacher myself and I have about 5-6 hours available of free time each day as well as the odd break when students don't show up. I'm looking for a friendly teacher that isn't afraid to push me as hard as they think I can handle. This is one of my big goals for my career and I will put all my energy into it to make it happen.
