I would love to practice and increase my vocabulary in Chinese as I lived in Shanghai almost three years and absolutely loved the experience. I am a passionate of languages and would be happy to continue learning Mandarin online. I know I need to improve my sentence structure and build on vocabulary however, I can already communicate fairly well and feel confident with the language. I could dedicate no more than 2 hours a week for class time and would be happy to have a teacher who's assertive, creative and is confident teaching online.

Good evening and thank you for reading my message. I am looking to speak Mandarin for the purposes of career enhancement and to enjoy my personal visits to China. I also wish to improve my knowledge of Chinese history and culture. I work for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise currently. I work with Export businesses and I believe that by learning Mandarin I can effectively combine 30 years of business experience with a much greater understanding of one of our major trading nations. I am separated from my wife so have the time to devote to a new and challenging learning experience. I only speak English so learning a new language will be hard work, but I know this will be a very worthwhile achievement. I expect to be a very good student.
I can devote 2 hours a week as a minimum to study. I would like to learn to speak the language primarily and thereafter would like to progress to writing Mandarin and understanding the grammar.
I would like my teacher to be patient, direct speaking, humourous and
interested in me as a person.
I hope you can assist with my requirements.

I am currently working and living in Ipoh, Perak and would like to advance my linguistic skills by learning Chinese Mandarin (with advancement to some Cantonese once proficient in Mandarin) and Bahasa.
