To whom it may concern,
As a senior electrical engineer graduating in spring 2010 and planning to start a company in Russia, I want to learn russian because i need this foreign language for career improvement. I am a beginner although i started Russian on my own but it was too hard to continue without someone's help. I am not looking for a degree in Russian language, l simply want to be able to understand russian and speak and be understood too. My schedule is a little tight but i can arrange for two meetings a week.

I wish to learn the language partly because my boyfriend is Russian and his family and friends dont know very much English, i am also planning to travel to Russia in the next few years for at least a few months and dont want to be a burden to anyone. I would like to learn russian for the purpose of self-interest as well as for the purpose of business. I am a beginner as far as my abilities go in the language. I would like to learn how to converse in russian as well as read and write. I would like to dedicate 1-2 hours per week to lessons. i would like to learn all the fundamentals of the language and would like a teacher that will teach me how to speak russian in both casual and formal scenarios.

Thank you for receiving my letter, I am interested in learning to speak Russian at the conversation level, the ability to write is secondary. To date I havew absolutely no experience with the RUSSIAN language or the Cyrilic alphabet, I also speak French fluently.
I would be begining at the ground level and hope to acheive some measure of succes before May of 2010, how much time would be required is difficult for me to answer, I feel this would best be answered once my goal is made clear.
I am looking for a teacher that would be focused on my objective (conversation al Russian) as opposed to teaching me a language, to sum it up a teacher whos curriculum can be tailored to my specific needs.

I want to learn Russian for career advancement. Though I have learnt many languages including french, spanish and many Indian languages, I have never studied Russian before. There are many consulting opportinuties in my field in the Russian speaking countries of the former USSR, and it would be an asset for me to be able to work there.
I would prefer to learn from a native Russian speaking person to get the correct pronunciation habits from the start.
My preference is for one-to-one classes for flexibility and speed of progress. In terms of time -- up to 5 hours per week would be ideal.
