I am a Community Relations Officer for JPMorgan Chase covering all of Manhattan who would like to learn Mandarin to better communicate with the large asian population that I serve in Chinatown. I am fluent in Spanish and English so I am more than capable of handling those cultures that speak those two languages.
I am a true beginner looking to learn conversationa l and some business Mandarin to better serve my territory.
I would like to spend an hour 2 to 3 times a week ( one on one) learning the language with a teacher that is patient and good at teaching beginners.

My husband and I are beginners when it comes to learning Mandarin. My husband knows a few basic phrases as he has traveled there on 2 different occations. We are wanting to learn Mandarin in hopes of one day traveling/liv ing there for an extended period of time. We would like to have a tutor for a least 1 session a week.

I took a year of Mandarin in college, and lived in Sichuan for six months. However, that was three years ago. Even at my peak, I would never have described myself as 'fluent'. At this point, I have lost nearly all of my vocabulary and character recognition. I would like to get back to the point I was, and if possible, learn a few new things. I work for an international organization that would highly value my Chinese language skills.
