I want to learn German because I desire to learn something new, something different. I wanted to maximize my time so I decided to use my spare time in learning another language.
I am slightly on the beginner's side in learning German. I may know some basic greetings and sentences but that's about it. I need to improve upon the grammar itself, knowing the German language has its formal and informal tone. I could use a lot conversationa l methods, not just contextual, to improve on it as well.
I have a day per week, of about 2 to 4 hours of learning the German language.
I expect more on the conversationa l methods since teaching a lot by the books just would not do. If it's just by the books, then i can study by myself, but if there's a lot of conversations and grammatical teachings, then what was learned will be put to practice. Teachers should always be patient, and more importantly than others, truly knowledgeable in what they're teaching, otherwise i would end up wasting money and time and effort. I also expect the teacher to be updated on the way the German language is spoken in these times, modern as i say, not the traditional German which is much like what is taught in German language books.

I am learning German because I live in Germany and find it important to speak the local language. I do not know how long I will stay and would like to have the possibility to apply for jobs where I would work in German, Study in German, and independantly manage German Paperwork. Essentially I would like to be fully litterate in German. I am at the beginning B2 level and am stronger at speaking than reading and writing. As a result, I need to improve in all areas, but espescially in reading and writing! I am currently dedicating around 15 hours a week to German learning. I would like a private tutor for 1-2 hours of that time. I am looking for a native speaker who feels confident explaining tricky grammar questions and will correct all of my mistakes
