In anticipation of being stationed at the US Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, my wife and I are eager to learn Serbian. We have zero, nada, zip, zilch, experience or eduation in Serbian. In addition, we are hoping to learn a little about the culture, people, and traditions of Serbia.
We would like to spend about 1-3 hours/week in one-on-one lessons. Basic conversation would probably benefit us most (especially my wife as she will be more on her own without a translator than I am).

I want to learn Russian for self-betterme nt, business and interest in the country's history and literature.
My level is probably intermediate.
I study on my own 6 hrs a week and need improvement in speaking and grammar. I would like to meet once a week for 2-3 hours.
I will only learn from a native speaker and prefer someone who has lived in Russia recently or keeps in close contact with the country by visits or TV or reading newspapers.
I only want to learn from a Russain, ie, not someone from Ukraine or one of the former Republics. Sorry but this is very important.
