I have a strong desire to learn Italian because I want to get to know my family in Italy and eventually re-locate there. So, my interest is both personal and business related. I do not speak Italian now. I'm an electrical engineer by trade so learning to speak about technical things will eventually have to take place.
I'm willing to spend 6-8 hours weekly on learning Italian.
I would like a teacher that's personable, patient, and has a sense of humor (believe me, they'll need it with me). I'm especially interested in an instructor who has spent time in Italy and has a heart for the people, the language, and the culture. Proficiency through regular use of the language is important to me. I can read books as well as anyone else, I'm really looking for interaction with others that have the same desire so I can better learn (real-time).

I have studied the basics in Italian for use while traveling and would like an opportunity to practice conversation.
I am a beginner with some vocabulary and grammar basics such as present and past tense, prepositions, etc. I have a stronger background in French.
I am in Rome for a few days while my husband is at a meeting and would like to meet with a tutor for 1-2 hours for conversation. I would like an easy going teacher who will help me with conversation and pronunciation . Depending on price, this would be for 2 or 3 days.
