I have lived in the Philippines my whole life i understand tagalog to an extent. i can pretty much pick up things here and there. i just can converse. I know words here and there, but i think if i started at the beginning with the basics and had some really intensive teaching i could get fluent pretty quickly. I am willing to dedicate maybe 4 hours a week. I would love to be given take home material as well so i can be learning the whole time. I am looking for a teacher that will start at the very basics and continue to build on those principals. and i definitely need a teacher to be strict to an extent. and i definitely need a teacher that is not too far from where i live.

Hi!
I am a Filipina-dane who wishes to become fluent in tagalog. I understand Filipino only slightly, but I need improvement in all areas of the language. I'm looking for intensive language lessons of 1-2 hours a day at beginners level. I wish my teacher to deliver the lessons in a pedagogic manner and have alot of patients. She/he should be nice and understanding yet firm. :D
Lastly its important to me to get across that i wish intensive sessions as i would like to be proficient in Tagalog when i return to Denmark.

I have a son (age 14) and daughter (age 10) who needs to get private tutor lessons in tagalog here in our house. Although they understand conversationa l tagalog, (we are filipinos and we sometimes speak to them in tagalog) they need help in learning the basics about speaking and grammar. This is also to prepare them for a local school in June. Our family has been abroad for the past 15 yrs and the kids' first language is english.
W e would prefer the tutor to live in the Antipolo or Rizal area so he or she can come at least 3x a wk (MWF or TThS). The tutor should have his or her own instructional materials, should be pleasant and patient with the kids. We want the lessons to start by next week (Feb 4 onwards) and last at least an hour per session.

I have no Tagalog skills at all. But I came to have interested in learning language including culture, history, and logics behid the language.
I would like to have class around twice a week, and before office hours.
