Hi,
I am a multi-lingual musician that loves learning languages and travelling. I would like to use this site to learn/practic e several languages including French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Farsi. I have spent most of my life learning the basics of these languages and I hope to get better, or at least maintain what I have.
I have taken Spanish lessons online before and I am convinced that online education is the future.
I would like to start with one hour per week with a few languages. My main focus right now is Hindi and I would like to take a 1 hour class per day.
I am a serious student and have no problem paying for a class that I miss.

I am wanting to learn Manderian Chinese,becau se I plan on living in Beihai in the near future.Im going to visit Beihai within 45 days..I will be a beginner,even though I have some Manderian CD's I have taken lessons from....
C onversation,wi ll be my main interest at first..to be able to have everyday conversations with the locals.....
Spending at least 2hrs per day,4 days a week would be fine..
No special qualities for teacher,as long as he/she knows there subject and can teach beginnerslike myself....

I wish to learn Chinese (Mandarin) for business reasons (I deal with manufacturers and develops from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong) and for personal reason (enjoy China immensely).
I have used Rosetta Stone to get some rudimentary Chinese down. When I travel to China I can communicate with common Chinese phrases.
I need to learn how to form strings of sentences so I can have full conversations .
I am able to dedicate evenings to learning Chinese in person.
Fo r a teacher, I wish their first language to be Chinese and have a desire to learn/trade for English.
