I am a linguisics major, but my university doesn't offer all the languages I want to learn. I learn foreign languages both as a hobby and as a way to keep my linguistic ability from wasting away. I am always learning, and want to keep it that way.
I speak Japanese with near-fluency, Intermediate German, Beginning Italian, and have learned a few basic words and phrases in Russian.
I learn *very* quickly. I am not exaggerating- it is simply the truth (I learned Japanese 101 in three hours).
I can faithfully reproduce an accent after about two to four hours practice.
I am only looking to improve in Russian at this time, and I have writing fairly nailed down. I know a few greetings, but not much beyond that. I have not learned much grammar or sentence structure yet. To sum it all up, I am looking for a Russian Course from the ground up.
Time is not an issue for me. I routinely spend most of a day on my language studies, and I don't bore easily with languages. In short, bring it on. I welcome the challenge.

I'd like to continue learning italian, because I love the language, the country, the food, the lifestyle, the people.
I used italian at my former work place in Germany as well as during my holidays. I've been learning italian for approx. 5 years and I went to summer school twice for each 3 years to Tropea/Italy.
I consider my level as advanced.
I need improvement in the vocabulary/ grammar/conve rsation.
I would like to have 2 hours per week.

Im looking to freshen up my Italian, as I plan to move to Italy in April. My parents are from Italy and I grew up speaking Italian at home,although it was a mix of English and Italian.
I have taken lessons when I was a young child,at the Italian school in Saskatoon.
I'am capable of having a conversation, but I do know my grammer needs improvement.
I would be dedicated for an 1 hour or more weekly or everyt two weeks, until I feel confident enough to not continue with the lessons.
