I want to learn Japanese because I plan to study there, and to also track down my family that's there. The background I have on the language is that I've studied it for half a year, but forgot most of it. So, I'd say I'm at the beginner level. I'd like to improve on everything! From; grammar, conversation, and maybe slang! That would be awesome!
I'd like to dedicate everyday to spend on learning the language, but I think that would be over kill because I also go to school. So... hmmm... I'll say 2hrs a day might be good, or shorter/longe r depending on your(teacher' s) schedule. Just send me a message and we can talk about it.
The qualities I'm looking for in an instructor is that he/she is a native speaker, strict yet kind, who also knows how to take a joke, and joke back. Someone who can teach me the language, street language, and culture. I'm willing to do group lessons or one-on-one. I would prefer one-on-one, but I'm flexible. Professional or teacher in training would be nice, but if not lets see if it works. So, send me a message and lets see!

My name is Patrick Moon and I'm from Colorado, USA. I currently study abroad at Kansai Gaidai University as an International student. I've been learning Japanese for about 3 years now, but still struggle with it. I would say that my Japanese is at about JLPT 2-3 level.
The areas I really want to improve upon is my listening and conversationa l skills. If possible, I want to meet up as much as possible so that I can get more comfortable using Japanese. The qualities I look for in a teacher is that they are friendly and helpful.
