My son would like to learn another language and after some discussion, he is interested in the Mandarin language. He is 11 years old and has taken Sanish for 5 years at school.
I think he will learn best in a private lesson, starting with once a week and perhaps increasing to two times per week over the summer.

I do not speak any Mandarin yet. I go to China 2 or 3 times a year for business and speak on the phone with Chinese vendors almost every evening. I need to have a 'business' knowledge of the Mandarin language.

I speaking english naturally and cantonese some what naturally. I took mandarin in high school for two years and consider myself to be at a high beginner/low intermediate level. The reasons i want to learn mandarin are to learn my own language and help me in the future in my career. I'm willing to dedicate some weekday nights and weekend time to improve my mandarin.
