I do not know any Thai at all. I am hoping to move to Thailand in 2007 for work as a missionary or English teacher, so I need basic conversationa l skills. I would like to meet at least once a week. I am looking for an experienced teacher who know how to structure lessons, give homework assignments, etc. I will be a dedicated student.

I am a beginning Thai language student, looking to gain proficiency in order to possibly move to Bangkok next year. I've tried to teach myself a few basic phrases and have visited Bangkok once, but I really need more formal, one-on-one instruction.
I guess that conversationa l skills are my top priority, but I'd also like to learn the written language and reading skills as well.
I am willing to devote as much time as needed for lessons, within a reasonable price range, but certainly once or twice a week for private lessons.
I would hope for a native Thai speaker with the Bangkok dialect and fluent in english.
