Hello my name is Mai, I am 15 and i would love to learn Japanese.
Fo r years over tried to learn Japanese on my own,but have only gotten so far.
I would love to learn Japanese for several different reasons,one major reason has to be that my grandmother is from Okinawa,Japan . And as much as I've tried to talk to her, her English and my Japanese only get our conversation so far.Another reason i would love to learn Japanese is I would love to visit my family in Japan and maybe even study abroad, or even a possibility when I am older is to teach English there.
I am only a beginner in Japanese but I am a fast learner,I will dedicate every moment I have to study and learn Japanese, the only qualities I guess I look for in tutor would be that he or she would as enthusiastic about teaching as I am learning.

I'm continuing my Japanese studies from my exchange in Japan, which I just returned from. I do not want to lose what I have learned.
I am beginner-inte rmediate....pr obably closer to intermediate.
I really really need to improve my conversationa l and listening skills. I am very shy, so I need to learn that it is okay to make mistakes in front of people.
I would like to have lessons of 2 hours a week.
I am looking for a teacher who emphasizes learning conversationa l and every day Japanese, but also someone who will teach me the differences between formal and casual Japanese. Also, encourage me to take vocabulary and Kanji quizes each week, so that I have some motivation to memorize.
