Hi All,
I've been learning Mandarin on my own for several years and I am interested in finding a tutor to help me with my grammer and conversationa l skills. I'm not a beginner, can read and write some, but have many gaps in my learning. I don't have any clear goal for learning other than being able to travel and communicate effectively.
I'd be looking for a tutor for one, 1-2 hour session a week. I don't want anything too structured or formal, just a fun chance to practice!

I am writing this on behalf of my two daughters who are currently 7 and 5 years old.
Our family has recently returned from Shanghai after living there for 5 years. During our time in Shanghai, my daughters were able to develop condsiderable Madarin speaking ability and some reading and writing ability. This was developed mainly through daily lessons at their international school and daily conversation with their Mandarin speaking Ayi.
I would really like my daughters to continue to learn and practise their Mandarin. I would, initially, like to engage a tutor to come to our house to just speak, play games and sing songs with my daughters in Mandarin. I would like this to occur for around 1 hour, 2 times per week. After a while, some more formal study could occur. I would prefer the tutor to be a native speaker of Mandarin.
The best time for this to happen would be between 4:00pm and 6:00pm in the afternoon. We are currently living in Jan Juc which is located approximately 15 kilometres south of Geelong.
