Hello!
My name is Allyson (I prefer 'Ally', though) and I'll be starting college in Calgary this fall. After graduation I want to go teach English in Japan for a few years, however I would love to know Japanese so that I can make friends while I'm there!
I'v e already been learning some Japanese online, but I've had no conversation practice and still have a lot to learn. I'd say I'm somewhere between beginner and intermediate level right now.
Also, because I'll have class almost every day, lessons will have to be on weekends or in the evenings.

I plan to move to Tokyo next April to commence a 6 month intensive Japanese course with the aim of then getting a job in pharmaceutica l research. I am aiming to get to JPLT level 3 (or ambitiously JPLT 2 in 1 yr) after the intensive course in Tokyo.
My level of Japanese is basic, now I have made a decision to move to Tokyo I am determined and focused to get my Japanese to the best level possible. I need help in all areas!
I am probably looking at dedicating 3 hrs per week in language lessons (preferably 1.5 hrs x 2 times a week). But this is negotiable.
I am looking for a patient teacher but at the same time will push me to achieve my full potential.
