i want to take a chinese class because i want to improve my proficiency in this language. i studied chinese classes during my elementary and highschool days, but i still consider my knowledge as that of a beginner. i want to attend the class so that i can be effective in communicating using the language especially on conversation. i am willing to share classes with other students, and i am available on weekends or few hours of my weekdays.
i expect the class to be interesting and that after the course, i would be able to write and speak chinese. my previous chinese classes were more of reading, memorization and written quizzes, but I never understood the meaning of the chinese characters we've had in our lessons.
i want something that could help me be more effective in my daily conversation, and also, for me to undersant chinese movies without the subtitle.

I want to learn a foreign language for a personal reason. Ive been trying to self learn but I guess its different when you have someone teaching you rather than just a book. I would say my proficiency would be a beginner. I believe that the are that i need particular improvement would be grammar and vocabulary. With regards to time that i can dedicate to my language lessons would be atleast 3 times a week. Qualities I am looking for in my teacher would be ofcourse he/she has the right credentials to teach, Patience and someone who has a passion to teach and is not doing it for the money.
