As far as Japanese goes, I'm afraid I don't know very much. I know some words from watching movies and anime but any more than that and I have no idea. I would like to learn this language because I'm very interested in the culture and one day I would like to visit Japan. The first step to my trip is to know the language however, so I can easily get around. I need to improve in almost every aspect, I'm a beginner to the tee. I want someone who will not get easily frustrated if I don't get it the first, third, or even hundredth time.

My conversationa l skill is a beginner level. I studied Japanese at SDSU for 1.5 years and lived in Japan for one year. I can read and write hiragana and katakana but I've forgoten most kanji.
I am interested in learning conversationa l Japanese. Learning from a textbook is very different from actually speaking with someone.
I 'd like to visit some friends in Japan in September. Hopefully, I can speak Japanese with them.
I think 1-2 meeting per week would be good.
My listening comprehension needs to improve. I often had to ask people to repeat themselves many times.

| Description |
I am a beginner in the study of Japanese, I can presently write in hiragana and have basic grammatical skills. I am studying Japanese due to a cultural interest and for future career advancement. I would like to dedicate 1 to 2 hours a week with a tutor practicing grammar and speech. I am looking for a tutor that is proficient in both languages and can integrate into my Japanese college curriculum.
