I'd like to find a tutor for Chinese language, for writing and speaking. My proficiency level is beginner (I have taken some classes in Japanese and can write characters).
I prefer private lessons since I have a shifting work schedule.
I may visit China/Hong Kong/Taiwan in future, so would like to be able to converse, and may be benefit for my career.

My husband and I recently adopted our son from China. We would like him to be able to converse fluently in Chinese. He will be 3 years old in December, but we feel that early introduction to his native language is of utmost importance. He is originally from Guangdong Province, and has lived in the US since November, 2006.

Earlier this summer I took a six-week intensive course in Mandarin that focused mainly on reading and writing. I would like to improve my speaking and listening abilities before I study abroad in Beijing in the Fall. I will be in the Philadelphia area for 2-3 weeks and I would like to meet 2 or 3 times a week until I leave to improve my conversationa l Mandarin. I'm looking for a teacher who will teach me useful phrases and help me with my pronounciatio n, as well as provide me with language exercises so I can practice between sessions. Most of all I am excited about Chinese language and culture and I love to learn.

I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese. I have no experience with it however I am a foreign language major in college and I can't seem to find a school in Florida that will allow me to major in Chinese. Languages are a passion of mine and for that reason I think learning them comes easy to me. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as it takes to learn mandarin as well as possibly one or two other languages that you offer. I'm looking for a serious teacher who is as passionate about languages as I am.
