I will be coming to Tijuana soon to work with a homebirth midwife in the barrios and canyons outside Tijuana. I will be residing in El Nino at the beginning. I will be there for approxmately 6 weeks.
Because I will need to go to birth and labors, there will be times that I will not be available. However, there will be much time that I will be available. We will have to be flexible.
I have been studying on my own Spanish revolving around birth and labor. It is not good, however, and my regular Spanish hardly exists. I am sure that the immersion will help, but I would like the opportunity to learn more.

Beginners conversationa l spanish needed. I will be living in Tijuana for about 6 months and need to learn reasonable conversationa l spanish to get around. I already know the very basics as I have been to Mexico over 10 times. Would prefer private classes in my own home if possible.
A few hours each week with practical classes, conversationa l and grammer.

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy studying in the United States. I'll be spending the Fall semester (Sept. - half of Jan.) in Tijuana writing my dissertation. I hope to take advantage of my short time there to learn Spanish. I am a beginner although I took Spanish in High School and still remember some of the basic vocabulary and verb conjugations.
I would like to dedicate some time every day to learning Spanish but exactly how much time depends on how much language lessons cost. I am looking for someone with a solid command of Spanish who can help me with both grammar and conversation. But I don't necessarily need that person to have experience with Spanish as a second language.
