I am a beginner learning japanese. I have decided that I want to learn Japanese, but our highschool doesn't offer it. I am in 8th grade, and i will be chosing classes soon for next year. If i don't get a good way to learn japanese, i may be forced to take spanish or french (which i HATE). So, i am just looking for a good way to learn it away from school and still be able so use it for college credit.

I am a begginer and I am interested in learning foreign languages. I have never taken any classes, but I would like to learn Korean and Japanese. I would actually like to start by learning Korean first. I try to do so research but I had no luck finding a place that I can go too. I want to learn these languages because I the find both cultures really facinating such as the people and cultures. I want to become a Register Nurse so I want to learn many languages while I'm still young. I'm actually hoping that if I like one the two countries the most I might move to one of them.

I would say i am at the level of an advanced beginner. i want to leanr the language becuase i find the culture so fascinating, also because i would like to speak japanese with my dad.I would like to dedicate myself as much as possible but my schedule is not that flexible.

My Japanese level is intermediate but I do not have a solid foundation of grammar usage. I would like to improve on grammar, conversation, and hopefully prepare for the japanese proficiency placement test. I am an intermiedate- to-advanced speaker of Japanese. I studied Japanese in college and lived in Mie-ken for three years (2001-2004) after graduation, and am very keen to be able to continue to learn as well as maintain my conversation skills. I currently work for a company of which is a Japanese subsidiary; my job does not require Japanese and while I have the opportunity to speak often, it is not enough. For starters, I would like to meet one evening/week. I would like language lessons that revolve around book readings. I have several books (original Japanese as well as Japanese translations of English lit), and feel they would be a useful aid in weekly language lessons.
