I consider myself to be a beginner although I know a few simple phrases.
I want to learn mandarin because my girlfriend is chinese and I think that it is only fair that I should be able to speak chinese with her. I am very keen to learn for this reason.
I would like lessons for maybe 1 evening per week and I am looking for mainly verbal skills and grammer but would also like to learn chinese characters. I am looking for a relaxed but focused approach to the lessons.
