I am a very basic beginner. I chose to learn Arabic because I would like to be involved in foreign diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa. I am also studying abroad in Egypt this spring. The most important aspect is the ability to converse, but I would also like to learn basic grammar.

Dobrý den. I recently traveled to the Czech Republic and fell in love with it. While there I learned about 10 words. I found out today that I will be returning next year, and this time I'd like to be able to speak to my friends there in their own language. (It wouldn't hurt to be able to read the restaurant menus either.) I would like to meet with a native speaker on a weekly basis and practice speaking with a real person, in addition to what I'm learning from CDs. Dìkuji, Lisa
