Beginner.
I am working on my finance degree and also aim to learn chinese. After finishing my MBA, and my girlfriend finishes her Masters, we are hoping to move to China.
I would really like to speak mandarin very well, and read well also.
1 hour a week of tutoring, and then I would probably be able to put 3 hours a week outside of class. Of course on different days for the added repetition, so a total of 4 hours a week.
From a teacher, I am really looking for some real languange immersion. Give me enough tools to talk, but really try to force me to use them. I know the best way to learn a language sometimes is being forced to use it, like if I was dropped in china and stuck there, I'd have to learn mandarin to get around. Well, that's not going to happen soon, so I'd like as much conversation along with the bookwork.

I would like mandarin lessons for both myself and my daughter. I am doing an increasing amount of business with Chinese suppliers and would like to be able to make contact more efficiently. For my daughter, I believe speaking Chineses would put her in very good stead for future career prospects.
I would like to dedicate approx 2-3 per week to learning and would like one to one tution.
