I'm a very fast learner, and I'm told I have an aptitude for languages. I excelled in my Intermediate French class, and I'm starting Advanced French in the Fall. I'm looking to learn both Spanish and Chinese over the summer because 1) I have Spanish-Chine se heritage, 2) I love learning new languages and these are the first two on my list, after French, and 3) everyone in my mom's side of the family, as well as everyone in school, speaks Spanish -- why can't I?

We will be relocating to Geneva in middle of August and my wife and I need intensive French lessons immediately. We are thinking of 3 hours, 3-5 times a week (e.g. 9:00 to 12:00 at our home in Singapore), but are happy to follow your advice. My wife is a beginner, I learnt French at school some 30 years ago.
