i am a total beginner as in no nothing at all!!i have to admit that i am a slow learner when it comes to learning languages, however i do have a program i have constructed which i think can keep me going until i have at least basic knowledge of mandarin.i would really appreciate it if there is a teacher who can guide me through my program and keep me on track and motivated.the reason i want to pick up mandarin is so that i can serve my future employer better and also so that i can communicate better with my Chinese speaking family members( have been ignoring them for some time!). i think 2 weeks once 90 minute lesson would suffice(unles s teacher thinks otherwise) , because i feel most of the work has to be done on my own , a teacher cant help me there!!howeve r i am looking for a teacher who's interested in the long haul, i want these lessons to go on for at least 2yrs because i feel it takes at least that long to get it!!(just my opinion).what i would like from a teacher are flexibility,e nthusiasm(help keep me from quiting), patience(you gonna need it with me)and a passion for teaching and the language!!.i drive so i can travel to the teacher's residence , so transportatio n shouldnt be a problem.!if you feel you are such a person ,please let me know! ashrel goh
