- I spent 8months living in Japan, and work for a Japanese company, therefore I would like to practice Japanese whilst I am back in the UK so that I don't forget.

I would like to take up learning Russian again, after a gap of 9 years. I spent 5 1/2 years in Moscow in the 1990's, during which I learnt Russian to an intermediate level. I would now like to take up Russian again - both because I find it a beautiful language, and because I now have the opportunity to be involved with work involving Russia again. My ideal goal would be to be able to take A level Russian in a year or two. I need considerable improvement in some areas of grammar (verbs!) but also in vocabulary, and in understanding literary Russian. I can dedicate an hour a day to Russian, although I do travel, and so it may be more than an hour at some times, less at others. Apart from patience, I would like my teacher to be able to be stimulating on a sustained basis, and have a sense of humour. I need some face to face interaction, although some contact by internet is also doable.

I am currently attending the University of Manchester learning Chinese mandarin and I will soon be in my 2nd year.
I have been learning for 3 years but it has always been in my culture as I am Cantonese, therefore what I really want to focus on in my learning is my pinyin as I struggle with my pronunciation .
I would really like to improve this so when I do return back to university my mandarin will have vastly improved.
I would prefer just to have a couple of lessons focusing on the pinyin.
