I am a beginner in learning Mandarin. I have no idea how to speak the language and I have heared the language numerous times. My intentions for learning Mandarin is to some day in the future visit the country or even live in China. This would give me an awesome opportunity to enhance my future. I would defenetly need help in learning the grammar and to speak it. I am willing to practice at least 2 times a week. Hi,
My name is Preston and I will be starting my third year at Edinburgh University. I am an international student coming from America.
During my second year at Edinburgh University, I enrolled in chinese 1. Throughout the course of the year, I have come to love the language and looked forward on continuing my chinese education; however, because my major is buisness, I wont be allowed to take any outside or elective courses so that means that I wont be allowed to take chinese 2 or 3 in my 3rd or 4th year for credit. I want to learn chinese partly because it would be both advantageous and beneficial in the buisness world, but more importantly, I want to continue because of my developed liking and fascination with the language. My current level would be everything that chinese 1 covers through chinese characters and grammar.
My best case scenario would be to have lessons at least couple times during the week whether it be throughout the week or in the weekend. I am looking for someone who has had a solid experience in teaching chinese [mandarin] to students in both grammar and in oral conversation. I will be in edinburgh for two more years, thus, I would very much like it if I can continue my chinese classes until my university's culmination.

I would like to learn how to speak Mandarin, simply because I love the language. I am from an Asian decent, but I'm very Americanized. I am a beginner to the language and would like to learn it as quickly as possible. In exchange, I would be happy to share my english knowledge. I would like to learn all aspects of the language, including writing, reading, but mostly speaking it properly. I would like to go overseas one day and experience life in Asia, perferly in Taiwan. I have a busy schedule, therefore I would like to dedicate lesson time to a couple hours on a weekend.
