I am a beginner in mandarin. I took one course at Okanagan College but didn't have the time to immerse myself. I plan to go to china in march of 2008 and i would like to learn as much as possible before that time. I work til 4-5 each day but i would be willing to dedicate as many nights a week as possible to learn the language. I would also like to learn Mandarin and use it for a career if possible. When i was learning Chinese I had no problem remembering the words once i learned them but I need work on my inflections. I am looking for a patient teacher who is knowledgeable in the language.
