I want to learn chinese in order to become a translator & or a teacher of english to Chinese people. I consider this a major but serious career change. I have already looked into the various university course in Ontario, but I may do it privately too. I would prefer a female teacher & I have a lot of time to devote to my lessons. I am a total beginner at learning Mandarin, although I had a little bit of instruction in cantonese from a friend.

Hi,
I am a Malaysian, mother of two and we just recently moved to Singapore a few months back.I received English education during my childhood days. It has always been my dream to be able to communicate in Mandarin. I am currently looking for a center which teaches mandarin for adults during the mornings on weekdays. Could mean part time or full time, whichever, i don't mind. It would be great if the classes consist of many students,that could bring the fees down as well as giving me the opportunity to practice conversing in the language.
