Are you (or do you have a friend) who might be interested?.. .
The hours are 8:30am to 5pm three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (28.5 hours per week at 10$/hr or $285/week).
We are looking for someone to come to our house in North Vancouver and who will speak Mandarin to our 1 year old son all day while taking care of him (we are an English speaking family).
(If you have a child, we would love it if you could bring your child to our house with you. Then our son has someone to play with and your child can be with you while you work.)

I need to learn conversationa l Mandarin as I am planning to go to China, also I always wanted to learn it. I would like one-on-one lessons, or small groups. I don't need written, only oral. I speak Cantonese at home, so I have some graspe of Chinese. I want to spend maybe 2-3 nights a week learning, and hopefully be able to carry a conversation within 3-4 months. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and will find ways to help me understand and remember.
